In this piece of writing, he said that 三味书屋 was his childhood grammar school where he learned reading and writing, as well as an important life philosophy. 三味书屋 does exactly this. It reads selected proses written by writers in China and Taiwan, most of which are regarded as classics. These texts tell the stories of people all walks of life, and often have a deep meaning. As well as the prose selection, there are some episodes of the podcast which cover Tang Dynasty poems and give a bit of explanation. These poems can be a good start for you to get some sense of ancient Chinese.
